The Running Dynamics Pod has an accelerometer that measures body movements to calculate six different running efficiency values. It sends these in real time to your compatible GARMIN smartwatch so you can use it to interpret your running form and optimize your training. It weighs just 12g, activates automatically and simply clips onto the waistband of your running shorts. If used for one hour a day, you only need to replace the battery once a year.
The measured values
The foot sensor calculates six parameters: the step frequency (steps/minute), the ground contact time balance (ratio of ground contact time, e.g. 53% left), the stride length in meters, the vertical movement of the upper body in centimeters, the vertical ratio (ratio of vertical movement to stride length in %) and the ground contact time per step (in milliseconds).
